The Oakland Raiders have signed RB Kendall Smith to a four-year deal worth $22.5 million.

The move brings the Raiders’ offensive backfield depth to three.

The Raiders will owe Smith $9.75 million in salary for the first four years of the deal.

Oakland also agreed to a $3.5-million signing bonus with a $2 million buyout.

The 31-year-old was the first of four Raiders to sign with the team in 2017.

Smith spent the first two seasons of his career with the Raiders.

He was a fifth-round pick of the Indianapolis Colts in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Smith is one of only five Raiders drafted to start in 2017 (Kendrick Williams, DeAndre Washington, Chris Ivory, and T.J. Yeldon).

Smith was the Raiders best receiving option for most of the season last year.

The team had no other running backs on the roster at the time of his signing.
