The Miami-Dade Police Department is investigating a man who allegedly made a threat to kill himself after police say he allegedly made threats against the Miami Police Department.
Miami-Dad Police spokesperson Officer David Barrera told the Miami Herald on Wednesday that police responded to a call on May 24 at about 12:20 p.m. about a man in a white T-shirt threatening to commit suicide.
The man had a gun, barreled towards the officers and made a number of threatening remarks, including, “I’m going to kill myself,” Barrera said.
The Miami-DC Metro Intelligence Group said the man has a mental health history.
The man was taken into custody without incident and has been charged with making a terroristic threat.
He is being held on $250,000 bail.
