A tornado warning remains in effect for portions of southeast Alabama.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham issued a tornado watch for portions near the cities of Birmingham and Montgomery.
The forecasted path of the storm is to remain northeast and will likely become a Category 1 tornado.
Tornado watches are in effect until 4 p.m.
The National Weather Services in Birmingham also issued a tornadic watch for the eastern half of the state, where a tornado warning is in effect from 2 p.p.m.-6 p.l.m., and a tornado watches in effect through 7 p.s.m..
“I am so lucky to live in a state like Alabama,” said Angela Brown, a woman from Montgomery who lives in a trailer park and lives with her husband and three young children.
“We are really thankful to be alive and not being torn down.”
