The #8 Buckeyes have taken the #5 Florida Gators to the Orange Bowl for the first time since 2003.

The Buckeyes will face the No. 9 Florida Gators in the Orange Football Conference Championship Game on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019, at 11:30 p.m.

Florida has won the last two meetings between the teams and have been undefeated in ACC play all season.

Ohio State is now 9-1 against the Gators and 2-0 in conference play.

It was the Buckeyes first victory against the #6 Gators since 2003 when they beat the Gators 20-17.

The Buckeyes won the game in Columbus on Dec. 18, 2013, beating Florida 27-24.

Florida was 8-0 against Ohio State when the two teams played in Columbus in 2015.

Ohio State is 9-0 at Neyland Stadium and 1-0 when the team is playing in Columbus.

The Gators have won two consecutive games at Neylands home since beating the Buckeye in the 2016 Rose Bowl.

For the first game in school history, Ohio State beat the Florida Gators 35-17 in Columbus, Ohio.

The win came with the Buches only three scorers returning for the game, but Ohio State did put together a dominant drive in the second half to hold on for a 28-17 victory.

UF won’t have the #1 ranking in the AP Top 25 this season after winning the league last season.

However, Ohio St. will be ranked #6 in the final AP Poll after finishing No. 2 in the Associated Press Poll last season after beating Clemson.

The #6 ranked Buckeyes also won the Big Ten Conference championship last season and have not dropped a game since.

Michigan State won the ACC Coastal Division last season before dropping the ACC title game to Clemson in Atlanta.

The Spartans will return home for the season after going 4-2 at home in 2017.

While Ohio State will be facing Florida in the title game, the Buckeaters will face No. 3 LSU in the Peach Bowl on Thursday.
